Stars Under The Stars

Come and celebrate music and musical theatre with some of Australia’s leading theatrical performers in
“Overture” on April in Cooke Park Pavilion, Parkes.

Promoted as Stars Under The Stars, it is easy to see why, with the amazing Lucy Durack (Wicked, Shrek and Doctor, Doctor) and the dynamic Josh Piterman (West Side Story, Cats and soon to be Phantom of the Opera) leading a wonderful ensemble of supporting talent, including the Central West’s very own Billie Palin and Jarrod Draper.

Overture not only brings some of the best voices in Australia to regional NSW, but it also gives local students the opportunity to work and perform alongside them, including a massed choir, of 150 choristers, featuring children and adults from across the Central West.

The 40-piece professional orchestra will be led by music director, composer and conductor Nicholas Gentile, rounding out a word class performance and truly unforgettable evening.

Event proceeds will generously support a number of community fundraising initiatives, including the McGrath Foundation, who are responsible for funding specialist breast care nurses in the Lachlan region and Up Stage who foster continuing arts development in the region.

So not only will you be treating yourself to an amazing night out, but you will be also
supporting some vital health and community services.
